It’s even powerful enough to be paired with the range-topping OPTICON 8 MK2.
The speaker’s size and front-facing reflex ports also mean that it can be placed against a wall under a TV or projector, or integrated into TV furniture as part of a discreet home surround setup.
Patented SMC
The OPTICON VOKAL MK2 driver magnet system consists of a ferrite ring magnet and a pole piece made from Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC).
This reduces distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents, resulting in a more relaxed midrange and enhanced detail.
Hybrid Tweeter
The hybrid tweeter combines a 29 mm soft dome with a planar element for wide dispersion and detailed high-frequency performance.
Mounted on a rigid aluminium faceplate, it ensures consistent output and optimal off-axis listening.
Wood Fibre Cone
The 6½” bass/midrange driver uses a paper pulp and wood fibre composite for stiffness and low mass.
This ensures accurate, detailed sound with minimal colouration.
High Quality Cabinet
The cabinet features a rigid front baffle and internal bracing to minimise resonance.
