Aerodynamic Reflex Port
As a reflex-loaded speaker, the OPTICON 8 MK2 uses a dual flare port design to channel unused acoustic output and extend low-frequency performance.
The aerodynamic shape minimises turbulence at both entry and exit points, improving efficiency and power handling.
Patented SMC
The driver magnet system uses DALI’s Soft Magnetic Composite (SMC) material to reduce distortion caused by hysteresis and eddy currents.
This results in lower third-order distortion, a relaxed midrange, and enhanced detail for extended listening sessions.
Wood Fibre Woofer
The dual 8″ bass drivers and dedicated midrange driver are designed for low loss, low distortion, and minimal colouration.
The paper pulp and wood fibre cone ensures precise bass and a high-resolution midrange response.
High Quality Cabinet
The cabinet features a 25 mm thick front baffle and internal bracing to minimise resonance and ensure structural rigidity.
Manufactured and tested in Denmark, each speaker is built to maintain consistent quality and performance.
Hybrid Tweeter
The hybrid tweeter combines a 29 mm soft dome with a 17 x 45 mm planar element for wide dispersion and high-frequency detail.
This design delivers both dynamic performance and refined clarity for off-axis listening.
